Soooo, there I was staying up until 7am in the morning, yeap, you heard right, 7AM, tryna finish up Mr Chuan's assignment and I looked at the time on the computer. The date was shown as well. I believe it's 30/11/10. Then it hit me! Tomorrow's December? What? December you say? Already?
And here I am complaining on how fast time flies. Well, not really complaining, just, sometimes I wish time just stands there, catching it's breath. All that flying must be tiring. :S
I looked thru whatever I wrote on January 2010, the New Year's post. It just occurred to me, have I achieved anything that I wanted?
HAVE YOU ACHIEVED YOUR NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS?
Here's what I wrote 11 months back :
1. Driver's license ( I got a 'L' license, so that counts)
2. 4 flats GPA (Let's not even talk about it)
3. Gain weight ( A few kilos, definitely better looking body now, no more ugly bones)
4. Spend more time with family (Half-half, Benjamin's growing. I guess the more adult he becomes the better I can relate to him)
5. Save money (Current Savings Account : 0.00 , nuf' said)
6. Go back to recording every single cent I spend. (Nope, didn't happen)
7. Keep a healthier lifestlye. ( For a few weeks, yes I did keep a healthy lifestyle)
8. Join a marathon. (Nope, didn't happen, kinda trained a lil bit for it tho)
9. Sleep earlier. OK, scrap that. (If you want to consider 7AM as early in the morning, then yes)
All in all, I guess half of it was achieved. So my year hasn’t been exactly a total failure. J
Current affairs :
Preparing a persuasive speech on, ‘Legalizing Prostitution’. Personally, I don’t really agree with it. But having chosen this as a topic would definitely be more interesting that ‘Why you should stop smoking’ or other equivalent boring topics. I might consider pasting the speech here. It makes sense the points and all.
Also, trying out for Parlimentary Debate on ‘Perpaduan Kaum’. Apparently Ms Chew Wei Wei (Moral & Etika lecturer) (Yes, I’m taking Moral subjects) (No, please don’t ask why) decided to put my name up for this debate. That’s what you get for constantly being a nuisance in class I suppose. But come on, deep down, you know you lecturers LOVE having me in them. Your classes would be rather boring without the class clown. So I auditioned this evening with a Mr Wong. He seemed impressed. I don’t know at my ability to crap on a topic I was given 10 minutes on or the fact that I speak fluent Malay. Either way, the ‘judges’ seemed impressed. I nailed it. I was sure it was in the beg.
They didn’t call me. I didn’t make the call backs. L
Speaking of Ms Chew, I got barred from Moral& Etika! Wtf?! That’s the first time ever! And I only skipped the class 4 times. This number actually includes lecture classes as well! Argh!
